Mizuna: A peppery Asian green, also known as kyona, Japanese mustard and California peppergrass.
From My Organic Vegetable Garden in Arizona
My organic vegetable garden in Ariz. The garden is enclosed by chicken wire year round, and an additional covering of plastic in the winter. This keeps out desert animals, and holds in heat in the winter.
Even more lettuce!
Lettuce is one of my favorites.
Brussels sprouts grow sweeter when the weather cools.
I like to grow carrots in many colors.
Onions - I love the small, pearl varieties.
At the height of the season!
A sweet red pepper, drying on the vine.
Cantaloupe - wonderful, but needs plenty of water.
This green cantaloupe needs about another month.
A bumper crop of mostly heirloom varieties.
Chard is a wonderful vegetable for beginning gardeners; very easy to grow.
Lovely tomatoes: We've had a great crop this year!
